Maddi Boudreau has been a Patient Advocate Volunteer for nearly a year. As a MSW Student at Wayne State University, Maddi is very interested in working with the pediatric population and volunteers often at our Eli Z. Rubin Children’s Clinic. She is also interested in many facets of volunteering, so she recently helped train volunteers at our March 10 training. She spoke to our new volunteers about her experiences as a Patient Advocate and why she joined our program. She also educated them about mental health issues, stigma and how to interact with consumers.
Maddi is compassionate, knowledgeable and dependable. As a Volunteer Coordinator, I know I can count on her to follow through with different responsibilities and she is always willing to help out whenever she can. I am thankful to have Maddi on our volunteer team and I am excited for her future endeavors as a Social Worker. Thank you, Maddi, for all of your hard work and dedication to helping our consumers!
