FOOD INSECURITY – or not knowing where your next meal will come from – is something that many families struggle with each week. At Conner Creek, we help fight hunger in two ways:
1. Every Monday at 1 p.m. food from Forgotten Harvest is distributed to the community. Fresh fruits and vegetables, bread and baked goods along with meat, milk and eggs (when available). All are welcome – no ID or personal information required.
2. The Client Choice Food Pantry is available to families, seniors and individuals who find themselves in a food emergency. Clients are able to select the food that will go on their family’s table from the shelves. Call 313-822-2800 to make an appointment.
