Although the first
nip of autumn has barely touched us, the Assistance League to the
Northeast Guidance Center is buy launching the "Adopt a
Family" program for the 2007holiday season.
 Buoyed
by the generosity of friends and supporters such as you, this program
has provided Christmas joy to a growing number of NEGC consumers and
their families over the years. For many, the "Adopt a
Family" program has been their only celebration of the
season, As in years past, NEGC caseworkers will identify
eligible participants based on need and demonstrated compliance with
their treatment program. We, in turn, strive to provide
appropriate holiday gifts to share the joy of the season with them.
Many of the families
receiving services at our agency cannot afford to buy gifts for
the children during the holidays. With the expenses of maintaining a
home and caring for children, there is often little or nothing left
over. So that every family will have a happy holiday season,
Northeast Guidance Center sponsors an Adopt-a-Family program.
During the months of
November and December, NEGC staff and volunteers select the most
needy and deserving families to receive gifts. The families may include:
